Household Hazardous Waste Day is Saturday, October 21, 2017, 8am-12pm. Bring Your Old Tires Too!

Got old oil paint, brake fluid, motor oil, pesticides you have decided not to use anymore?  Bring them all down to D.P.W on Saturday, October 21, 2017.  You can get rid of up to 3 lbs or gallons for only $20.00 or up to 25 lbs or gallons for only $50.00.   See the flier attached for all the types of waste you can and cannot bring, and how to bring them to us.

If you can't make this Household Hazardous Waste event you have other options.  You can attend the Household Hazardous Waste events of other communities with which Lynn has a reciprocal agreement.  There are two left in 2017, both on October 28, in Melrose and Topsfield.  Below is the flier.

We are also collecting old tires at this event, in partnership with Northeast Mosquito Control and Wetland Management District.  Bring up to 4 old tires to dispose, free.

Lastly...

Latex paint is not hazardous waste, but you do need to harden it.  You can buy paint hardener at the hardware store or at Home Depot, or you can use kitty litter.  Once the paint is hardened you can throw it out with your regular trash.
