The Next Dumpster Day is Saturday July 16, 2016

The City of Lynn offers Dumpster Days so that residents can dispose of big, bulky items if they bring them down to the D.P.W. at 250 Commercial Street, right off the Lynnway. We'll have all these dumpsters set up.  This is for the items that do not fit into your trash cart.  It is not for household trash that you have piling up and it's not for you to get rid of your friend's couch who lives in another town or city.  It's for Lynn residents only.  If you have been to one you know that there will be a long line of traffic.   If you have a bulky item and you don't want to bring it down, you can always call Waste Management at 1-800-972-4545. and pay $20.60 to have them pick up a mattress set or couch or any other bulky waste item. That may save your back from lifting a heavy couch on Dumpster Day--and also time in traffic.

  5. Yes, you can bring it to Dumpster Day, all white goods, or take it to Turner, 225 Commercial Street on most Saturdays (not Holiday Weekends) from 7-12 noon. They are across the street from D.P.W.

  6. Since I perform my own landscaping needs on my property, I find the leaf and yard waste pick up frequency inadequate. I would recommend a monthly pick up during the summer. I also notice other property owners with the same problem as I see leaf bags stored in front of their property for long periods of time.
FYI: due to many maple trees having black spot this year, the leaves started coming down one month ago.
