Three Simple Recycling Rules for your Recycling Cart

  1. Thanks for all these helpful reminders. I wonder if there are any things going on in elementary schools to get kids knowledgeable about recycling so they could share that with their parents? Some people are very new to recycling, and kids are a great help.

    1. Yes, plans are underway with Lynn Schools. I made a presentation for all the Lynn principals and have heard back from some and will be following up with all to do trainings on a recycling curriculum for all the teachers. In addition, I will be working on getting a curriculum into other schools and after school programs in Lynn. Any suggestions and contacts are greatly appreciated and will be followed upon.

  2. I was just wondering, what do we do with our Christmas trees? Also, I am sure with all the boxes and paper, are needs will be higher. What do we do with the extra material?

    1. The CIty pick up all Christmas trees the week of January 5-9. Residents should put them out at the curb next to their trash on their regular trash day.

  3. I can't believe how much recycling we collect and wish we could have two recycling buckets. Is this possible? I find myself saving all the cardboard for two weeks and then I still don't have enough room.
    Thanks.

  4. Why can't they collect recycling every week as they do the trash?
